The Challenge

The challenge recently for Brian Dewar Custom Installations was to create an audio/video system that could share its quality throughout a large custom-built residence (inside and out).

The goal: to have an easy to operate system where no wires were visible and sound could be enjoyed on a large wall-mounted Plasma-based home theatre package complete with an audio/video iPod, satellite sound, 1080p blu-ray player, hi-def cable, a cd player and local radio.

All audio sources were to be shared between the home office, the sunken living room, the dining room, the second floor en-suite, the basement pool table area and finally, the outdoor hot tub, patio and swimming pool area.

Dad (a successful local business owner) can now enjoy year round hot tubs with his favorite tunes while the kids can simultaneously play the latest blu-ray DVD or enjoy a podcast independently of each other. The original requirement of an outdoor TV was negated by the installation of a double articulated bracket for the Plasma TV, allowing the screen to be easily swung into position for hot tub viewing of that special game.

Brian’s passion for challenge was met with this install that enhanced the busy life style of a dynamic family. Given two sunken areas, three levels and lots of bulk heads and duct work, this was not a beginner’s job, it was exactly the type of job that Brian calls fun.

All in all: a project that Brian Dewar Custom Installations can be proud of.
